In my somewhat limited experience these coil heads are good but not nearly as good as the upgraded versions. I know that a lot of people seem to have had issues with the newer coil heads but I'm under the impression that these issues are due to a combo of a few bad batches and user based error. The newer coil heads (the upgraded version) seem to take substantially longer to wick the first time you use them when compared to these coil heads. This can lead to people burning/stressing them out on the first use. While this often doesn't kill the coil heads out right (once they eventually soak up enough liquid they will seem ok) it certainly shortens their lifespan and can dull flavor. (I find that a good 10 minute soak and a few dry pulls is sufficient with most average viscosity liquids)
Now for the actual review. I have found these coils to be pretty darn good. Good flavor, above average vapor (compared to a carto or older model clearomizer) and good life span. Of the coils I've used I would average a life span of about 25ml. The flavor is IMO is about par with a cartomizers. The vapor is neither warm or cool it's pretty much in the middle. The throat hit is obviously dependant on the liquid but I have found it a little lacking, still decent but for the amount of vapor produced I would say that I was expecting a bit more of a thump in the back of the throat. All in all these are good but for a few cents extra I would go for the upgraded version in a heartbeat unless you're in to modding. I personally won't be buying them again. Simply because they have been surp**ed by their bigger brother - the upgraded version.
