Geekvape Wenax K1 Pod Review by Sam-Cover

Roll up… roll up…Today’s review is of the Geekvape Wenax K1 Kit, this was very kindly sent to me by Sue from Healthcabin. Let’s start the Geekvape Wenax K1 Pod Review.

As always this review is my own thoughts and not associated with anyone from Healthcabin or POTV. Nor have I been paid for my thoughts.

The wenax K1 is the new kit in the expanding wenax range, having owned a previous wenax kit which I throughly enjoy for MTL I was pleased to have a chance of trying this.

I received the blue version for my review but it is available in a huge 9 different colour options! I received mine in the sample packaging but I think what I received will be included in the retail kits.

Abit about The Device

This device is the new one in the range which currently consists of the stylus and C1.

The weenax K1 is made from a anodized aluminium body, houses a 600mAh inbuilt battery and has non changeable coil pods. The device has 3 power settings and has an output of 9-16W all which can be changed by the fire button.

The Device

First thing you will notice is just how light this device is, Made from aluminium and only housing a 600MaH battery will give you a rough idea. It’s a smooth rounded device with only the fire button protruding.
Theres 2 tiny airflow holes either side which gives this device a good medium MTL draw. But it is not adjustable.

Theres 2 options for firing the K1, button firing or auto draw, personally on a device like this I prefer the Autodraw and so far have had no problems with this.

The Wenax has 3 power outlays green, blue and white, these are also the same for the battery indicator. Green being the max battery or power, blue middle and white low (power) red (battery). The different wattage settings depend on the pod you have installed at the time. You switch between the different power by clicking the fire button 3 times.

A safety feature on this device is the sleep mode which after 10 seconds of no use closes down the device but you can still Autodraw, meaning theres no worry about it pocket firing, but also making it quick and easy to have a quick toot when needed without having to fire it up.

It features usb type C charging and with a battery at 600 Mah it is very fast to charge fully.

My only 2 niggles about the device is I wish it was a bigger battery, using this as my daily and only device on the green setting I was getting under a day but unlike some devices when this one hits blue or red battery it does still last the 50% or under left and doesnt run out straight away.
Secondly where its rounded and small you cant stand it up so its always laying down not a massive problem but may causes leaking issues eventually.

The Pods

The first thing I realised and that bugged me about these was the fact they were non changeable coils, it’s not good for the environment when they run out and I feel it’s such a waste, especially with the stylus having changeable coils it did make me wonder why they wouldnt carry that into this device.

On the plus side it does help the stop of leaking in a pod and so far I’ve had absolutely none no matter how I leave the device or for how long so far.

The pods fit very nicely into the top of the device device click into place, they’re very secure and dont move or fall out of place.

These pods are refillable and that is done via a silicone bung on the side of the pod, this filling method is a pet hate of mine and this device proves why it’s a struggle every time to undo it as theres no cutout underneath meaning you have to try get something under to lift the bung up.

There are 2 pods included in the kit, 0.8ohm and a 1.2ohm pod these are both very clearly marked on the bottom of each pod and are both a tinted plastic but it’s very easy to see your juice level they both have a rounded mouth piece which is non removable. The mouth piece for me took a little while to get used to with it being quite thin and rounded but once I did, it’s a very comfortable enjoyable vape.

I used Prime vape Little tarte with both these pods and the flavour is absolutly fantastic from both and what I do like is you can easily tell the difference between both pods with the 0.8ohm being a slightly more airer vape.

I used both on the blue setting which is 11W for the 1.2ohm and 14/15W on the 0.8ohm.
I’ve been using the device for a week now and haven’t had a drop in flavour on either pod.

  • Ease of use
  • Power settings
  • Great MTL
  • Comfortable mouth piece

Niggles

Again a massive thanks Healthcabin for sending me this device for review I really do appriciate it.

You can currently get this device for just $12.96 when you log in which I think is an absolute steal for this device they also sell spare pods.
