FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I think this was probably the best presentation of a vape device that’s been sent to me and I’ve have some nice ones. Beginning with the box that is sealed in plastic and has a outer sleeve that reveals a hologram on the box when sliding it off ( pretty nice effect ). Opening the box you find the Orion 2, spare 4.5ml Pod, two 0.4Ω mesh coils, USB – C charge cord, suction cup for panel removal, warranty card and user manual resting is a pre-cut foam casing inside the box.

My first thoughts were DAM it’s gorgeous! Picking the device up showed it had some weight to it without being heavy. Having a second Pod and a 4.5ml pod at that shows great value in this kit. The suction cup, charge cord and warranty card are under a small piece of cardboard with the user manual sitting on top of it. I always like to start my review journey with a nice presentation and LVE went above and beyond, even the box itself has a magnetic closure to it.

Holding the Orion 2 in the hand you can feel just how solid the construction is, giving it the shake test found a tiny rattle in the adjustment buttons that’s barely noticeable. I’m very pleased to report there is no rubber plug on the fill port instead a screw off cap is used with the LVE name embossed on it in raised lettering further adding to the attractive appearance. High quality screams out loudly by the way the Pod is attached as well, no magnets used here, instead a locking mechanism is used when attaching and removing the Pod from the device by way of a sliding spring loaded release switch, there’s no way the Pod is coming off accidentally being in a pocket.

As you can see I wasn’t lying about the appearance, the first thing that I wanted to check out was the 4.5ml pod and how it attaches to the device. Pressing the spring loaded Pod release switch popped the preinstalled Pod up from the device where it can be removed. On the Pod itself is a small tab that hooks into the devices attachment point, coils are press fit having no flat spots.

I normally don’t like tinted or smoke colored Pods but the tinting is lightly done on these Pods where juice viewing is no problem, being lightly tinted actually improves it’s appearance more. Coils just press fit into place, in the kit are two 0.4Ω mesh coils.

The coil when inserted into the Pod practically fit into the bottom of the drip tip, you can use your own 510 drip tips but the supplied one works great and color matches the Pod so I left it on during testing. Having top fill on the Pod is great and not having to deal with a rubber plug is as well, the fill port uses a twist off cap with the LVE name embossed in raised lettering on it.

LVE supplies a rubber suction cup for removal of the side panels to change the look with other panels sold separately if you wish to do that, I really love the one that was sent to me and have no plans on changing the panels for different ones. The entire panel is one big magnet and it requires the use of the suction cup because they really hold tight with no play or movement.

The Orion 2 has fully adjustable airflow by way of a airflow adjustment wheel that protrudes very slightly on both sides of the Mod. You can achieve a MTL vape but it’s a somewhat loose MTL however a nice RDL vape is more suited for this device in my opinion. The adjustment wheel does not used stopping points at either end and turns freely but holds it’s setting just fine. There are small lines cut into the adjustment control wheel aiding your grip on it. Airflow is very smooth.

The 1500mAh internal battery has a maximum power output of 40 watts to play with but the two supplied coils max out at 32 watts, I never needed to really increase wattage from the minimum 26 watts but did so for testing. I found no real difference in flavor output raising the wattage. On the bottom of the Orion 2 are 6 ventilation holes located on 1 corner. One side of the device is plain having no branding or anything for that matter.

The other side is where all the controls are, you would think things would look busy but everything just flows together. Up top is the spring loaded Pod release switch that you should use even when installing the Pod back in place to keep the switch from having heavy tension applied to it.

Below the switch is the fire button that’s raised out a bit for a easy feel of it, location of it works well for either thumb or finger firing. It’s very responsive and quick to fire.

Adjustment buttons are on a rocker switch just below the 0.96 inch display screen and the USB – C charge port is below the adjustment buttons, the Orion 2 charges at 2amps.

The 0.96 inch display screen has enough brightness to it and the font size is easily seen and able to make out even with aging eyes such as my own. This is a wattage only device making it very simple to navigate because it uses no menu to speak of just a couple button combinations.

The board inside has smart tech that recognizes the coil and puts you at the minimum starting wattage recommended for the coil being used, wattage adjustments are done in .5 increments and it features round robin as well. I have had zero issues with leaking or seepage but because the drip tip sits right on top of the coil condensation develops quickly inside the drip tip.

FINAL IMPRESSIONS

Well folks as you could tell the Orion 2 Pod Mod Kit really impressed me not only with it’s great looks but also it’s performance and features that show LVE went the extra mile when designing it.

In the week’s time I’ve used it I had no issues arise with performance, the very slight rattle of the adjustment rocker switch buttons is a minor con because the way you hear the rattle is to shake the Mod and I don’t shake Mods when I vape but wanted you to know what happens if you do.

I have had many compliments when out and about on the appearance and just today I was having some work done on my truck and the mechanic spotted me vaping outside and after asking to see it offered to buy it from me, I declined to sell it or give it to him today ( Maybe In A Few Weeks ).

All things said I consider the Orion a great Pod Mod Kit and give it a winner rating with a 100% recommendation from me.

Gorgeous device, two Pods included, two coils that produce very good flavor with adjustable airflow and no problems to speak of equals WINNER status in my book.

I would like to thank Sue and HealthCabin for providing the Orion 2 Pod Mod Kit for the purpose of my review and I hope all your questions were answered.
