Ever since I first saw it, I’ve been curious about Voopoo’s new product, the E120 PODMod Kit, which came to me from HealthCabin. As its name suggests, it has a maximum power of 120 watts and is compatible with PnP X atomizers. It uses the GENE TT 2.0 Chip, thanks to which we always get intense flavors until the moment it’s completely discharged. It automatically detects the resistance, so it’s basically Smart, which adjusts the Watt to the resistance, which has an upper limit, which the manufacturer calls maximum power protection, but no lower limit. Speaking of protection, it also has short circuit protection, overcharging protection, output overcurrent protection, overheating protection, and low battery protection, which I think is standard in every device. In addition, a puff can last a maximum of 8 seconds. The built-in 4500mAh battery is huge, but it can last up to 10 days if you choose the 1 Ohm atomizer for the device and produce a maximum of 250 puffs per day. With the 0.3 Ohm atomizer, it can last up to 5 days, of course, it is calibrated for 250 puffs here too, which I managed to achieve with it, and even a little more. In addition, of course, no matter how much we puff from it, it will last at least 2 days guaranteed. Its dimensions are 23.6 x 46.6 x 115mm including the POD head, which is not only large by reading, but the device is really quite large.

The E120, which has an aluminum alloy body, is available in 7 colors: purple, metallic gray, rose red, silver, black, blue and champagne gold. I got the purple one, which I think has a slightly paler color tone compared to the picture above. There was nothing left to do but go for it!
What’s in the box and getting to know the device
There isn’t much that comes with the E120, just a USB cable, a 0.15 Ohm atomizer in addition to the 0.3 Ohm in the POD head, as well as the user manual and a small introduction to the PnP X atomizers.

Most of the front panel is occupied by the huge 2.44″ TFT display, and above it is the fire button. There is not much interesting information on the back, just the Voopoo inscription.

The sides are more interesting. They packed almost everything on the right side, but what is most interesting here is that the two small holes at the top cannot be closed, they provide ventilation for the MTL POD heads. Below we find the navigation buttons, also below them a slide button that closes the navigation buttons and the fire button. At the bottom is the USB-C connection through which we can charge the not at all small 4500mAh battery with 5V/2A. The charging time is not long in comparison, only 1.5 hours. On the left side is the adjustable air inlet, which is what the DTL POD head needs. And below it is the Voopoo Vinci inscription faintly.

The Vinci PnP X Cartridge POD head that comes with the device is a DTL head, which is also written on it, because you can also buy an MTL POD head for the device and so you can’t mix them up. Although I don’t think you could mix up the POD heads anyway, because the inside of the mouthpiece in the MTL POD head is narrower. Not only are the display and battery gigantic, the POD head has a capacity of 5ml, which is not bad overall. The filling hole on the side is not that big compared to the size of the POD head and if it is in the device, you can’t fill it with a Chubby Gorilla bottle, but you can fill it quite quickly with a narrower bottle. There are two air inlets and 4 magnets at the bottom of the POD head that hold it firmly in place. Replacing the atomizer is also quick and easy, because you just need to reach under the edges of the atomizer with your fingernail and you can pull it out.

However, the device also comes with a small, simple menu that you can enter by pressing the navigation buttons simultaneously. With this device, you don’t have to hold the buttons down for 3 seconds, as is usually the case. The first menu item is Clock Theme, where you can first see 2 clock faces, and the rest are unlocked when you reach the number of seconds written on them. The second menu item is Time Calibration, where you can set the exact time, because the E120’s clock shows midnight when you first turn it on. The third menu item is Screen Lock, where you can set how long you want to see the clock that also serves as a screen saver. The default setting is 1 minute, but you can set a maximum of 30 minutes. Finally, you get an Exit option, if you don’t want to set anything, we just checked to see if there are any menu items left. Otherwise, there is nothing else in the device, which means that there is no Bypass, no TC, no other gentlemanly mischief, we can only set the Watt, but as I already mentioned, there is an upper limit, which is 40 Watts for the 0.3 powder, it does not allow it to go higher, but we can go as low as we want because there is no lower limit.

I also think it’s worth mentioning that a device with a large display is good because it doesn’t cram the data and still leaves room for a little sophistication. Of course, the latter is subjective, but I like that the display isn’t drab by default. However, the clock appears too quickly as a screensaver. They could have pushed those 3 seconds to, say, 10 and then we wouldn’t have to press the fire button if we were curious about the battery charge, for example. 30 Watts combined with such a low resistance makes the atomizer red hot at idle, so they could have increased those 3 seconds. Of course, this isn’t a problem either, because we can check it after a sip, but I have to fumble, such is the life of testers…

So far, he’s pretty good, isn’t he? But is his actual knowledge as outstanding as his specs? We’ll find out soon.
Experience report
The aluminum alloy case can withstand the wear and tear quite well. It has come into contact with zippers and keys and so far there has not been a single scratch, neither on the case nor on the display. The air adjustment slider is quite stable, it does not move by itself. The push button moves easily, but not too easily. The navigation buttons are quite easy to press, so it is worth using the push button pocket lock if, say, the device needs to be in a bag. On the contrary, it does not press by itself when carried in a trouser pocket, but when taking it out I managed to accidentally adjust the Watt because the navigation buttons are quite high up and I found it right there to grab it when taking it out. I think the fire button is a bit small, maybe just because of its edge, but you can get used to it. The display is not very bright, which I was very happy about, because it does not hurt the eyes. The same is true with all the watch faces I have unlocked so far. The menu of the device itself and the back cover and watch screen saver consist of dark colors, so none of them are distracting at all. The wallpaper depicting Mount Everest in the picture above is permanent, it cannot be changed, only the screensaver displaying the clock can be changed. When the pocket lock is turned on, it locks the fire button and the navigation buttons, so we cannot set Watts when it is locked, but it still allows us to enter the menu if we press the two navigation buttons at the same time. The menu is extremely easy to use, I think it does not require any special explanation, because you have seen the menu items above. Perhaps the only interesting thing about this is that when we set the clock, we have to press the fire button for a long time to store the time. The clock is neither late nor in a hurry, and it does not do anything like that when the device is turned off, so we can fully rely on it, at least not while we are staring at our phone… It reminds me of the off state, when we completely discharge the device, it turns off by itself and we cannot turn it on until we put it on the charger. The POD head’s magnets hold perfectly during use, although it wobbles a bit when moved by hand, but this can be attributed to the huge size, as smaller things always fit better in their place. The maximum operating time I was able to squeeze out of the device was 5 days and a little. On the 6th day in the morning it was only 10% with 240-250 shots per day. If I used it more and although I tried to use it as much as possible, it came to about a little more than double that, which means 500-550 shots per day, the battery still managed to last for 2-2.5 days. I think this is definitely outstanding. Although the device itself is quite large, I can’t say it’s heavy. It has the perfect weight for its size, which makes me a little jealous… It charges the battery from 0 to 100% in about 1.5 hours, which is 90 minutes, but while charging it says that it will charge in 99 minutes, but it cuts this down a bit over time. It is recommended to charge it with the factory cable, as it is not compatible with all phone cables. With the Motorola cable, the charging screen flashed every half minute, which means that the contact with that cable is not good. With the Samsung cable, however, it is error-free, so it does not matter what cable we use. Everyone will experience this for themselves, but if there is any problem with our own cable, the E120 cable is in the box, which will not be a problem.
The charging port of the POD head is a little difficult to access at first, if it is in the device, but you can get used to it later. However, if we charge the head in the POD, we can only charge it from a narrow bottle. The 5ml capacity is quite a lot, with a 0.3 Ohm atomizer it is roughly equivalent to 250 puffs a day, a little more, so don’t leave home without liquid if you use it with the 0.3, because those 250 puffs are not that many. The taste is perfect, I have no complaints about the vapor. The PnP X atomizers are outstanding in this area. It doesn’t get hot even with narrowed ventilation and chain ventilation. But I would like to note here that the MTL aerator on the right side cannot be closed, so it receives cooling from two sides. The device is completely dry under the POD head, which also indicates good cooling. The atomizer easily lasted 2 weeks with not exactly coke-free liquids, which is also outstanding. The mouthpiece of the POD head is quite comfortable, so use can be quite comfortable.

Pro
- Aluminum alloy housing. Thanks to the material of the housing, it is not scratched and as we already know, a product with a metal housing is always better.
- Easy, convenient use and Smart mode. The menu is easy to use, everything is clear. The POD head’s mouthpiece is comfortable. In addition, the default Smart mode sets the Watt for us, which has an upper limit, but we can lower it without any limit.
- Fast charging. The 4500mAh battery is charged in record time, which means 1.5 hours. Of course, we can also use the device while charging, only then the charging time is delayed a little.
- Light weight. Despite its robust size, it can be said to be quite light, which is quite positive, because it is convenient to carry it in your trouser pocket.
- Flavored atomizers with huge vapors. The PnP X atomizers have long been known for their excellent flavor reproduction and huge vapor production, which of course is not the case with the E120.
- GENE TT 2.0 Chip. Voopoo’s chipset is great again this time. The flavor intensity and atomization speed and the extremely low ramp time are all features we like.
- Maximum output voltage without a lower limit. This has become my favorite feature in the E120, because there is often a situation where the Watt should be set even lower because, for example, I like cold vapor, but there is nowhere to set it lower because the Smart mode limits it. Fortunately, there is no lower limit in this device, only an upper one, so that we can always tailor vaping to our needs. And with this, the time has come to hand out the User-Friendly special award that this feature won after a long time!
- Large display, pleasant colors for the eyes. The advantage of the large display is that there is plenty of space for everything, and the fact that they also used colors that are not disturbing to the eyes is a special great kingdom.
- 4500mAh battery. The huge battery provides us with a battery life of between 2-10 days, which may vary depending on our usage habits, but I think everyone will have a minimum of 2 days of battery life. With the 0.3 atomizer, 5 days of battery life with 250 puffs per day is guaranteed!
Against
- Hard-to-reach filling port. If the POD head filling port weren’t a bit hard to access, this device would be perfect. But unfortunately, or not so unfortunately, we can only fill the head from a narrow bottle, if it’s in the device.
Finally, I think that the E120 is not only powerful in terms of parameters, but also in terms of usability and user-friendliness. Although it is a bit too simple and there is nothing else in it except the Power mode, it knows what it knows! And thanks to the 4500mAh battery, it knows for a long time! If someone is looking for a cool PODMod that shows the time and has great flavor and vapor, then don’t think too much, because here is the Voopoo Vinci E120 which can be a perfect choice!
